A batting center and amusement complex in Hiroshima

Located about a 45-50 minute drive north toward Hiroshima, Dagekioh Virtual Sports Center is a Batting Center/Amusement Arcade that is widely known for its indoor batting cages. The building is split into two sections – an amusement section ranging through a wide variety of mini games which range from ¥100 a game to ¥300 a game, and a large batting center. The amusement section is home to games such ping pong, pitching, and soccer shooting to name just a few. The batting center is divided up into seven stations, each mirroring the speed and pitching style of a specific professional Japanese pitcher. The speed of the pitches range from 70kph to 140kph. You can choose the speed of the pitch at each station.

When you enter the building there is a counter where you can buy a prepaid card which allows for use of the batting cages and amusement games. Each batting station use costs ¥300 per session but are offered 25 pitches per session. Helmets and bats are offered for use but you can also bring your own bat if you please. Prices for the prepaid card sessions get cheaper the more you buy at a single time. For instance you can purchase a four-time use card for ¥1000, a nine-time use card for ¥2000 and a 14-time use card for ¥3000. You do not have to use all the charges in the same day as you purchase the card, so you can easily use them the next time you visit the batting cage. Parking is free and there are plenty of parking spaces available.
