Kikko Shrine

Located near the Kintai Bridge, a beautiful traditional shrine

The main building was built in 1728 to worship Okitsune Kikkawa. Although the actual Kikko Shrine was established in 1884, combining two other shrines that worshipped the Kikkawa Clan this new Kikko Shrine was established. Buildings in this shrine have maintained how their look since the original build and with the thatched roof it will almost feel like you walked in to the shrines in Kyoto. This shrine was appointed as an important cultural property in 2004.
