Located on Route 2 relatively close to Iwakuni Station, RaiRaiTei Ramen is a Shiga-based ramen chain that is a popular shop for local residents in the town. Unmistakable due to its large yellow banner and glowing lights, the ramen served here is soy-sauce or “shoyu” based ramen. The menu however, offers a multitude of different ramen options with the main being soy sauce ramen, rich broth ramen, miso ramen, and salt-based ramen. A main highlight of RaiRaiTei are the various meal options that you can create by coupling a main ramen dish with other side dishes at reduced prices. Popular choices include the gyoza set, and the fried rice (chahan) set. RaiRaiTei offers English menus and ordering is quite simple.

Parking for RaiRaiTei is plentiful, but be wary that on weeknights the shop is often packed between the hours of 6 and 8. For one of the best bowls of ramen in Iwakuni, RaiRaiTei is always near the top of most individuals’ lists. Seating arrangements include stool seats as well as traditional floor seating with mats.
